2025 at ReviveXR, was the year we moved from “idea” to “evidence-seeking execution.”
ReviveXR exists for a simple reason: too many people living with cognitive decline, stroke, TBI, depression, and isolation don’t have engaging, accessible ways to practice the everyday skills that keep life meaningful. We’re building XR experiences designed to support brain wellness and functional participation—by combining immersive environments, purposeful repetitive activities, and synchronized 40-hertz light and sound stimulation.
Here are a few milestones we’re proud of from this year:
We sharpened our focus and product direction
We clarified how ReviveXR should show up in the world—not as a “VR game,” but as a therapeutic wellness platform designed for real-world outcomes. We shaped our product ecosystem around practical use cases: memory care, sleep restoration, movement, and neurorehabilitation. We also began organizing our experiences into cohesive umbrella programs, structured around foundational skills, ADLs, IADLs, and social mobility—so that what users do in VR connects to life outside the headset.
We built collaborations and conducted a successful feasibility study with Alzheimer’s patients
Keeping our focus on memory, cognition, mood, sleep, calmness, engagement, and functional participation, we began collaborations with universities and community partners. We conducted a successful feasibility study with Alzheimer’s patients with reported improvements in memory and sleep, which then gave us the momentum to continue building experiences that matter. We are hoping to further our collaborations with universities and thought leaders to empirically prove the value we offer in neurocognitive empowerment.
We expanded the vision: not just experiences, but companionship
We began developing the concept of an AI-driven virtual companion to support engagement through conversation and dual-tasking—so the experience isn’t passive, and users feel guided rather than alone. The goal is simple: increase consistency, motivation, and meaningful participation.
We advanced our IP strategy
We took meaningful steps toward protecting what we’re building through patent planning and documentation around an XR therapeutic system that integrates synchronized 40-hertz sensory stimulation with immersive, goal-driven activities.
Our team grew as did our collective of XR experiences
ReviveXR grew from a one-person’s dream to a collaborative of brilliant minds - therapists, researchers, developers, thought leaders- all driven by the passion to help the brain heal and improve quality of life. This conglomeration of talent and vision is perhaps one of our greatest accomplishments for in 2025. As a result we have built a broad range of XR experiences that are brilliantly suited for the impact we are trying to achieve for our users.
We prepared for public-facing growth
We started actively planning for a public release strategy and refining how ReviveXR should be positioned on consumer platforms. That includes thinking deeply about onboarding (“golden path” experiences), pricing, reviews, partnerships, and storytelling—because building the product is only half the work. The other half is making it understandable and discoverable.
What’s next
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a series of short posts on what we’re learning as we build ReviveXR—our science approach, product philosophy, early pilots, how we think about outcomes, and what it takes to design XR experiences that truly support everyday life.
If you’re a clinician, researcher, senior living leader, caregiver, or potential collaborator—and this mission resonates—I’d love to connect. We’re building carefully, and we’re building for impact.
